Fourteen units in Pererenan, sixty seconds on foot from the surf at Lyma Beach. Watu Tula is Kawi and Sanskrit for balanced stones, and that is the brief: raw concrete and stone set against Balinese planting, which the studio calls eco‑brutalism. The drawings were finished before it was announced.

Raw board‑marked concrete, stone and timber, with planting allowed to grow over the hard edges — the opposite argument to La Casa Española's arches and whitewash, built by the same team to the same standard. Each unit has its own pool and is handed over furnished. Pererenan is the quiet end of Canggu: the beach clubs and the restaurants are there, the traffic mostly is not.

Most villas here are handed over as an empty structure, and the months that follow — sourcing furniture, waiting on appliances, chasing installers — are the cost nobody quotes you. This one is finished.
